"For your sake" tells the story of Zulma, a teenager who grows up in a rural village accepting the mandates imposed by her family and religious community until events lead her to take control of her own destiny. The film takes us on a powerful and moving journey through the life of ZULMA, daughter of a poor family in a closed community where loyalty, guilt and fear keep old draconian rules alive and well. Zulma is forced to abandon her simple desires and her life goes through an extreme situation that slowly unravels, she must do whatever it takes to save herself and her loved ones. The film is shot with the breathtaking beauty of the remote Argentine-Brazilian borderlands as a constant contrast to the disturbing elements of human brutality.
