Mario and Luz met in adolescence, he became a writer and she became a public employee. Together they shared life and everything they found in it, exile, success, failures, friends, love … 60 years and 80 books later, Luz dies after suffering a terrible disease. Mario writes his last words dealing with his absence, until he finally walked away in silence towards the end of his life.
