A Farewell to memory, directed by Nicolás Prividera and produced by Pablo Ratto, has been selected as the Best Latin American project by a committee of experts for the Work in Progress (WIP) at the Malaga Film Festival. The film will receive the financial award of 5,000 euros.

In addition, A Farewell to Memory, has been awarded the SANFIC Award.

The 22 projects participating in this special edition of Malaga WIP, organized by Malaga Film Festival and Malaga City Council, have been hosted on the Veo Málaga platform, where they have been viewed from March 23 to April 10. The jury for Ibero-American titles (fiction and documentaries) was integrated by Fernando Vílchez, co-director of Filmadrid International Film Festival; Lucero Garzón, coordinator of BAL-LAB, Industry Area of the Biarritz Amerique Latin Festival, and Mercedes Martínez Abarca, programmer of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.

The objective of Malaga Work In Progress is to boost the financing of the participating projects within the audiovisual industry; promote its dissemination and promotion; support the completion of films in the post-production phase and make their international distribution viable.
